In school we have a group of children from Year 5 and 6 who are appointed Catholic Ambassadors. The children need to apply for this role and go through an interview with the headteacher and governors before being appointed. Two of our Year 6 Catholic Ambassadors wanted to share the role they have in school:
As a Catholic Ambassador my duties are to host class worships, as well as reading and contributing to the display work in the Bible Journal. We spread God’s word during whole school assemblies every Monday afternoon. We represent our school by attending various events and even meeting Bishop John Arnold! I enjoy being a Catholic Ambassador because I get to develop other children’s faith in God.
Maisie Heuer, Year 6
As a Catholic Ambassador we have to be the best role models we can possibly be to all children in school. We do assemblies every Monday and like our mission statement we always love another, as I have loved you.
