On Friday last week, Amelia and Charney took part in a mental health champion training day at the Prairie in Burnley, alongside some other schools from around Burnley. The course was delivered by Charlotte Hartley, a former International hockey player, who represented England in the 2006 Commonwealths. The girls took part in team games, self-esteem bosting activities and learnt about ways to support and improve mental health. The girls had a fabulous time and even confidently did a presentation of what they had learnt from the day in front of all of the other attendees! Amelia and Charney look forward to spreading their knowledge and helping others as the "positive peers" around our school.
