Butterflies Class EYFS Reception 2023 - 2024

Reception staff include:

Miss M. S. Rafique (Class Teacher)

Miss M. Barlow (Reception Teaching Assistant)

Mrs A. Gore (Reception Apprentice)

We are the Butterflies at St Mary Magdalene’s RC Primary School. Reception is an exciting time where our children are nurtured and encouraged to become independent and enthused about learning and the world around us. Building and developing parent relations are at the heart of what we do. As parents, you are your child’s first and most important educator and so during the year, we will work together to ensure your child develops a love for learning and grows to secure strong foundations in their learning journey. In our class setting, we provide a nurtured and engaging environment for the children to flourish in. Faith is intertwined in all that we do, and we celebrate our challenges, differences and talents each day. We encourage our Butterflies to understand they are all individually unique and loved in class and  by our school family. Our wonderful indoor and outdoor classroom is set up around the National Curriculum and the children’s interests as we get to know our children and provide interesting and inspiring learning experiences.

Class Dojo

We look forward to sharing all the children’s learning that will take place inside and outside the classroom. Please check your child’s ‘Class Dojo’ account daily to keep up to date with key messages and whole school information. You will also be able to view learning that is taking place.

Tapestry

We use Tapestry to record our learning observations for each child. As well as following your child’s learning journey in school, we encourage you to contribute at home by uploading learning and experiences taking place which will no doubt contribute to your child’s development milestones.
