We are The Explorers, we are strong-willed, kind and ready for any challenge. We explore every area of the curriculum to gain all the knowledge we will need to guide us through life.

In Year 1, we are lucky to have a team of staff to support our class:

In Year 1 we will learn some of the exciting things:

English: 'The Storm Whale' (narrative text) and a non-fiction recount of a trip to the woods.

Maths : Place Value, Addition & Subtraction, Capacity & Volume, Fractions, Positions & Directions and Time.

Science: Seasonal Changes, specifically between spring and summer.

RE: "Special Meals" and "Lent"

Geography: What is it like here? 

ICT: Maze explorers

PE: Fundamental Movement Skills and Gymnastics.
