Mission:

In Year 5, we strive to promote children’s independence and resilience. Across the year we give the children lots of opportunities to step outside of their comfort zone and to explore their talents from Bikeability, choir concerts and involvement with local secondary schools. We learn about some fascinating topics across the year like Earth and Space in Science, the Ancient Greeks in History and share lots of high-quality, exciting texts in our writing lessons!

Meet the teacher:

My name is Miss Guirdham and I am the proud teacher of The Adventurers. I joined the St Mary Magdalene’s family in 2022, having had previous experience in teaching across KS2 and have felt very welcomed ever since! Each year I look forward to our academic journey, seeing children flourish in their skills and knowledge as they experience their last years at primary school.
