Dear Children, Parents and Carers,

I hope you have all had a well earned beak and enjoyed the sun safely. This is your (or your child’s) last half term at St Mary Magdalene’s Primary School! Therefore, I want to do things a little differently. Over the next several weeks, you will get the opportunity to create different pieces of writing that I will put together to create a virtual leavers assembly. Hopefully with everyone recording something.

Your English task this week is to create a diary. We’re now coming out at the other side of lock down but I want you to choose about 6 days throughout this time and write down your thoughts, feelings, what you got up to and how it’s been so different to the ‘norm’. One should be the day you found out you weren’t returning to school. Other examples could be your birthday, knowing you didn’t have to do SAts etc.

I will continue to post a range of MyMaths activities and give you a range of challenges each week to complete.

Finally, please start thinking about what you’d like to add or incorporate in your leavers assembly. I think it’s fair to say it’s going to be very different than usual but non the less still an important memory.

Additions

If you’d like some additional activities I have attached some extra English below all about Pirates from LCC and a Year 6 Activity booklet full of Maths and English tasks.

Feel free to choose a range of activities and show me what you produce.
