Thank you for all the posts uploaded onto Class Dojo – it’s really lovely to see so many children reading and completing the homework set.
Please try and listen to your child read at least four times per week. If you send me a picture of their reading record I can add their name to the ‘Every Day Reader’ list so they receive a certificate at the end of the half term.
Spellings are tested every Friday plus a times tables test. We are currently learning the 2x table. Try this in small chunks if your child is struggling to remember it:
1 x 2 =2, 2 x 2 = 4, 3 x 2 = 6, 4 x 2 = 8
These can be repeated until they become embedded and then move on to the next group of four. Once they can recite it in order they should then find it much easier to recall them when mixed up.

We are learning about frogs. Ask your child if they can tell you some facts using the scientific vocabulary they have learned. Choose some words linked to our topic about frogs and make up a word search or create a poster to share something you have learned about them.
