Updates to Home Learning 1/6/20

Dear Parents

I hope you all enjoyed the half term holiday and managed to get a well-deserved break.  As previously mentioned we are going to make some changes to our teaching provision.  Over the coming weeks we will begin to provide a number of opportunities for your child to join live lessons.  The first session may simply be to allow the children to see each other and to say hello and to identify any issues with sound or video quality.

From then, the sessions will be set up at specific times so that we can provide some teaching input for Phonics, Maths and English.  We will be able to demonstrate the methods needed for Maths and model examples in English.  The lessons will be taught by teachers in the classroom with the children attending school.  Children at home will be invited to join each lesson via Zoom.

You will need to download the Zoom App and you will be sent a user ID and code in order to enter each session.  We will try to coordinate the lessons so that children from all year groups will be able to join their year group.  This means the sessions are likely to be between 10 – 20 minutes in length.

Keep up the great work at home. You’re all doing an amazing job.

Kind Regards

Mrs Worrall
