Dear Parents
READING: Please try to listen to your child read at least four times per week at home. We will also listen to your child as often as we can whilst they are in school. Children will need to complete some directed activities to demonstrate their understanding of the books they have read.
TIME TABLES: Learning times tables is a vital Maths skill. Children need to consolidate their 2x, 5x and 10x introduced in Year 2 and learn their 3x, 4x, 6x and 8x in Year 3. They will also need to learn the associated division facts for each. E.g. 4 x 5 = 20 / 20 ÷ 4 = 5. Also visiting TTRockstars will hopefully make learning times tables fun.
SPELLINGS: Learn spellings for the weekly test and use the spelling rules in their work.
HOMEWORK GRID: The homework grid below contains a variety of activities. Your child can choose one per week to complete in their Homework Book.
