On Wednesday 30th October Year 2 travelled to Towneley Park to see lots of different habitats as part of our Science Topic. Graham, one of the park rangers, met us at the gate and became our expert guide for the morning.
We learned about the many different habitats in the park from the pond, the bark on a tree to a blade of grass. We learned where many creatures lived and how they survived. We even discovered that bats live in Towneley Hall itself. Before we left, we learned how to charm the worms to the surface by tapping our feet on the ground. We were able to identify the different varieties of worms that lived there.
